Scissor Hauler Tilt Equipment – The Sure Trac scissor hauler tilt bed equipment series trailer is a very common model for moving small pieces of equipment such as a trencher, walk behind bobcat, scissor hoists, compact tractors, zero turn mowers, paving roller, etc. The scissor hauler tilt bed trailer is a bit different tilt equipment model as it is a lighter, 2024 Sure-Trac 5×10 Tilt Equipment Trailer, single axle model. The tilt equipment units feature drop axles for improved load angle, has no beavertail, and has full width loading. The most common sizes are 78×12′ 7000#, and a 78×12+4 7800#. It is also offered in a 5×10 with a 5200# axle. The tilt trailers feature about a 1′ longer tongue than a traditional trailer for improved stability and better tongue weight. The tilt trailer’s also have about a 32″ rear knife edge tail, but generally only 24″ is counted toward the length (ex: a 18′ model will have approx. 18’10” of length). The minimum recommended tow vehicle would be a 1/2 ton truck, although some smaller trucks and larger SUV’s would be suitable to haul this trailer depending on the load. The trailer has dual safety latches for ensuring your safety in transport. It also has a cushion cylinder for peace of mind when loading. -Torsion suspension (All Sure Trac scissor hauler tilt equipment trailers are built on a torsion suspension. A torsion suspension on the trailer enables the lowest possible deck height with providing the best ride quality possible for this application. A torsion is different than leaf spring in that the suspension and hardware is contained within the axle tube, and there is independent suspension at each wheel).
-Finish Quality (No manufacturer says their product is poorly designed or engineered, but let’s face it, some products are more refined than others. We find the overall design, looks, material used, welds, wiring, and powdercoat – and more importantly the steel prep, to be superior on a Sure Trac. These “little” intangibles differentiate a trailer. In a market flooded with manufacturers, these “not on a spec sheet” items are why Sure Trac stands out from the rest of the crowd).
-Tubular Full wrap tongue/mainframe (All Sure Trac trailers are built on a tubular full wrap tongue and mainframe. Tube gives maximum strength per pound as it not only withstands vertical load, but also won’t flex like channel).

-Adjustable Coupler (Standard on all scissor tilts, an adjustable coupler allows you to set the ball/pintle at different heights to accommodate different tow vehicles. -Bolt on jacks (A bolt on drop leg jack is standard. To deploy a drop leg jack, you pull the pin and it and it extends to the ground. You simply have to crank the jack the height of the ball rather than 15″+. If it gets damaged, it’s an easy replacement rather than a trip to a fab shop).
-Powdercoat Tough (Our trailers have one of the toughest finishes on the market, in large part due to the steel prep prior to final finish. One of the best finishes on the market, particularly at the price point).
-Painted Underside (Hard to believe, but if you’ve crawled under many trailers, you’ll quickly find that paint on the underside of some trailers is an option…makes you wonder where else shortcuts are being made).
-Bullet LED lights (Brighter, longer lasting, and they have less draw. Now with the new bullet style which are sleeker and less of a target. Some competitors are still using stud mount incandescent lights)

-Radial Tires (16″ 10-ply Radial tires. Longer lasting and better riding, radial tires should be on all trailers, but sadly, some name brands you’ve probably heard of still use bias…beware of the “hybrid” tire, which looks like a radial, but is still a bias tire with reduced tread wear).
-Self adjusting brakes (We equip all of our tandem axles with brakes on both axles. The brakes are self or forward adjusting, much like a vehicle, and automatically adjust to the proper clearance via spring tension).
-Extended Triple Tube Tongue (The extended triple tube tongue provides a wide stance, giving maximum stability to the trailer. It also gives sufficient turning capability to most wider tow vehicles, such as a flat bed truck. It also helps ensure a proper amount of tongue weight).
